Role and Responsibilities of a BOG Member

BOG Members are elected representatives of the club's general members. Their main duties include:

Governance & Policy Making: Participate in decision-making for the overall management, rules, and policies of the club.

Development & Improvement: Contribute to upgrading facilities (e.g., gym, sports courts, dining, guest rooms, events). They often serve on sub-committees like Development Committee, Event Committee, Cricket Committee, etc.

Financial Oversight: Help ensure transparency, proper budgeting, and good governance in club finances and operations.
Member Services: Work to improve facilities and services for all members without discrimination.

Event Organization: Many BOG members act as conveners or coordinators for social, sports, cultural, and religious events (e.g., iftar dinners, milaad, musical nights, sports competitions).

Unity & Discipline: Promote harmony among members, maintain club traditions, and support discipline and transparency (as emphasized by the Commissioner during oath-taking).

Advisory Role: Provide input to the President (Commissioner) and Secretary on club matters. They represent member interests and help implement reforms.

The BOG works collectively with the Secretary under the patronage of the Commissioner/President. The club is described as a shared asset of the city, so BOG members are expected to focus on development, better facilities, and inclusive management.
