National Assembly (MNA): Elected as Member of the National Assembly from NA-172 (Dera Ghazi Khan-II) on a PML-N ticket during the 2013–2018 term.
Federal Minister: Served as Federal Minister for Communications in the Shahid Khaqan Abbasi cabinet (August 2017 – May 2018).

Senate of Pakistan:
First term: March 2018 to March 2024 (elected as Independent on a Technocrat/Ulema seat from Punjab).
